Meet our Head of Development, Kofi Danning!

Burns FC are proud to announce our Head of Development, Kofi Danning!

Kofi provided this statement about his experience, and excitement to join our great Club!

"Grateful to Burns FC for giving me an opportunity to help contribute towards youth football development. Football has always been a huge part of my life. In my journey through grassroots football in Canberra, I developed new skills, gained new friendships and grew my passion for the game. Exposure to team environments also helped me grow in confidence and aspire to play at the top level. Having these pathways and avenues available meant that I was able achieve my dreams with the right support, hard work and dedication.

"I played professional football at the highest level in Australia from the age of 16 for Sydney FC and Brisbane Roar in the A-League, contributing to one premiership for Sydney FC and two for Brisbane Roar. I was fortunate to be part of the Brisbane Roar team under Ange Postecoglou in 2011, where the team broke and still holds the record for the longest unbeaten sequence in the top flight of 36 games.

"I have also represented the young Socceroos in international tournaments, including the 2009 Under 20 World Cup in Egypt, 2011 World Cup in Colombia and 2012 London Olympic Qualifiers.

"Looking forward to sharing the knowledge and experience I have gained and can’t wait to help build to a great future with Burns FC!"

Please make Kofi welcome when you see him around the grounds!
